Old town’s councillor pays tribute to local people who make the community what it is

Old Hastings councillor James Bacon paid tribute to the friendliness of the people of Hastings today and credited them with a big role in ensuring Hastings Old Town won the Ramblers’ Walking Neighbourhood award.

Hastings Old Town was announced as the winner of the national award on Monday and Mr Bacon says the accolade is “well deserved”. And he says it brings an opportunity for the town to get together and make a huge deal about its win which will in turn attract additional visitors to the community.
