Heringtons choose its Charity of the Year and it’s St Michael’s Hospice!
Just remember St Michael’s Hospice has to fundraise over £12,000 EVERY DAY to keep running and providing the vital service that it does…
From April St Michael’s Hospice will be Heringtons Solicitors Charity of the Year.
Following a vote among the staff of Heringtons the result was announced earlier this month at the Heringtons’ Christmas lunch, using the Hospice’s Lottery Christmas crackers.
Richard Fisher, Managing Partner at Heringtons Solicitors said: “We are all thrilled to be supporting St Michael’s Hospice as our Charity of the Year 2020 and look forward to working closely with the team to help with fundraising and awareness.”
St Michael’s Hospice Director of Income Generation, Perdita Chamberlain added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with such a well-respected local firm. We look forward to welcoming the Heringtons team into the Hospice to learn more about the breadth of services provided across Hastings and Rother, and to plan ways in which the team can help with fundraising events and activities.”

And the Hospice is inviting friends, families, nurseries, local groups, schools, colleges and businesses throughout Hastings and Rother to help them to raise awareness of the services they provide to those living with, or affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement, by taking part in this year’s Yellow Week, from Monday February 10th to Sunday February 16th.

Whether it’s a yellow themed dress-up day, a yellow cake sale, a yellow cocktail/mocktail party, raffle, sponsored silence, or even a sponsored yellow beard competition, there’s plenty of ways for everyone to get involved and raise vital funds for the Hospice.
If you are a teacher or pupil at a school in Hastings and Rother the hospice would love you to take part too perhaps by holding a yellow themed mufti day, or a yellow cake sale, have yellow food tasting or, hold a sponsored silence.

Perdita says: “Last year we supported 1,643 patients in their homes, in the community and at the Hospice. We have to fundraise over £12,000 every day to continue our work and provide the specialist palliative care that our community relies on, so every donation however large or small is very much appreciated.”
