A clean sweep of the streets of Ore
A team of four cleared ten bags of rubbish from the streets of Ore in just a couple of hours on Saturday morning.
Their work was part of a national campaign, The Great British Spring Clean which has the simple aim of bringing people together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches
Part of the Keep Britain Tidy organisation the national organisers of the Great British Spring Clean say they want to ‘inspire’ 400,000 people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us.
Among those taking part in Saturday’s clean up in Ore were Matt Barden of Winchester Building Supplies. one of Ore’s borough councillors Richard Street and Andrew Bartley.
The campaign is running up until March 25 and is fronted by adventurer Steve Backshall.
