Have your say if timetable changes affected you

Were you one of those who endured commuter hardship when the mass overhaul of train timetables was introduced in May?

The chaos caused by the biggest overhaul in train timetables has been well documented and commuters in the south east were among the hardest hit.

Now the Government has asked the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) to establish an inquiry into the factors that contributed to the disruption and inconvenience caused by the introduction of the new timetable. The ORR is keen to hear from passengers who have been affected by the disruption and is encouraging residents to complete its survey so they can gain as much information about commuters’ experience and how the issues caused can best be addressed by highlighting what the main problems are.

The ORR will publish an interim report in September and final recommendations by the end of the year. The short survey closes on July 31 can be found by following this link – just click here.

Hastings MP Amber Rudd said yesterday commented: “I have been lobbying both Government and Network Rail to look into the reasons behind this disruption and to see what actions will be taken to ensure that such disruption does not happen in the future.

“I would encourage every resident who has been affected by the timetable change to take on this survey. Each resident’s feedback is essential to ensuring that the appropriate action is taken to avoid this happening again.”
