Treasure Island: ‘a rollicking Christmas show’ at Stables

Coming next at Stables Theatre is Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, a version adapted by Bryony Lavery and directed by Niall Whitehead and Barbara Ward.

For those who don’t know what the story is about it’s set on a dark and stormy night.

Jim, the inn-keeper’s son, opens the door to a terrifying stranger. At the old sailor’s feet sits a huge sea-chest, full of secrets. Jim invites him in – and his dangerous voyage begins.

Treasure Island, is Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story of murder, money and mutiny and this thrilling adaptation premiered at the National Theatre in London, in December 2014. Stables Theatre describes it as “A rollicking Christmas show for all the family!”
