Sportsmen with grit, determination and an overwhelming will to succeed

We’ve enjoyed meeting people, talking to them and finding out their story and as part of our review of 2018 we are revisiting some great profiles of local sporting heroes.

There’s Stu and Tarnya Allen who are helping put British wrestling back on the map, Ross Garnett who was taking swimming lessons in 2017 and swum the channel in 2018, Carl Denne who showed his trainees he’s still got what it takes to succeed in a top Kickboxing grading and Georgij Rogolev who fulfilled a dream of winning a European Jiu Jitsu title last Spring.

In 2019 we want to bring you more sporting news and profiles of other great sportsmen and women who are achieving success in their chosen field from a base right here in Hastings and St Leonards
