Volunteers wanted: Vehicle maintenance and coffee shop, can you help?

Can you help keep St Michael’s Hospice on the road, helping people in their homes?

The ‘Hospice at Home’ car fleet, is instrumental to the team. Whatever the weather, night and day, 365 days a year the dedicated ‘Hospice at Home’ nurses support people with life-limiting illnesses in their homes.

With over 3,500 visits carried out across Hastings and Rother last year alone the Hospice’s small fleet of vehicles needs constant attention to ensure they are roadworthy and presentable, both inside and out, to enable the nurses to do their job.

Can you help support service, or do you know someone who could, by becoming a vehicle maintenance volunteer?

The Hospice is also looking for volunteers in the Hospice coffee shop. The coffee shop is a busy and integral part of St Michael’s Hospice, it provides a place for patients to regain a sense of normality, visitors can rest and reflect and staff can have a break. With a renovated kitchen, pleasant seating area and large conservatory, the coffee shop is the ideal place to unwind and relax.
