Wise Group’s new venture gets a big thumbs-up

Table Tennis skills are not the first thing you associate with Hastings MP Amber Rudd but she put her ping-pong talents in display when she visited a new business and creative centre in St Leonards.

Ms Rudd was guest of honour at the launch of the Wise Group’s new  new business space at Castleham Industrial Centre. The facility offers meeting and conference space, desk space for small business from rental as low as £20 per day or £140 per month and that includes the latest audio visual equipment and access to wi-fi.

After being given a tour by Wise Group Manager Robert Beevis, Ms Rudd said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to open this excellent new co-working space at Castleham Industrial Centre.

“I want to congratulate the Wise Group for taking this initiative and making their offices pleasurable for employees and I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiments that have been expressed that co-working spaces can go a long way in facilitating cross-industry dialogue and networking.”

In addition to competitively priced working spaces, the centre offers flexibility and caters to the individual needs of customers through provision of meeting rooms, kitchen facilities as well as a modern ‘chill-out zone’ complete with arcade machines, table tennis and table football.

After a drinks’ reception and a short speech from their local MP, attendees present at the business space launch were treated to a brief, yet thoroughly entertaining, table tennis match between Mr Beevis and Ms Rudd.

Any reservations that spectators may have had as to the table tennis skills of their local MP were, as the short match proved, quickly put to rest!
