We may have seen some of the hottest days of the year recently but a subscription gift box company, near Hastings is already gearing up for Christmas and wrapping 24,000 individual gifts for their limited edition 2021 advent calendar. 

TreatBox curates beautifully wrapped letterbox gifts that promote self-care and wellbeing. 

Each day in the run up to Christmas, customers with the advent calendar open a surprise gift – there are no images on the box, so it is a complete surprise but to give a hint, gifts will include jewellery, pamper products, edible treats as well as Christmas and non-Christmas keepsakes.

There are a limited number of advent calendars available and all the gifts are wrapped in recyclable and reusable gift wrapping and are sent out together in mid-November to ensure they arrive by December 1st.  

Zoe Charlton, Founder of TreatBox said: “We know it’s a bit early, but we are a small team and we have 24,000 individual items to wrap. We want each gift to be really special so spend a lot of time making sure all the finer details are perfect. Even though it’s been 30 degrees outside, our workspace has turned into the North Pole!”

Zoe started the business from her kitchen table seven years ago, but it is only since the coronavirus pandemic began, that she’s seen it take off. Zoe has gone from sending out around 30 boxes a day to sending out more than 300 boxes a day and she has now sent out more than 116,500 boxes.

As well as the Advent Calendar there are other Christmas gift ideas including a Three, six or 12-month subscription, a Christmas ready-to-go box, which will include Christmas themed items and a Build-your-own TreatBox, where customers can create their very own TreatBox and surprise your loved one with personable gifts that show you really care. 

The calendar costs £76.95 (but is worth up to £150) including postage and packaging. There are three ways to make a payment: in full, instalments, or deposit.
