A Green councillor in Hastings would be a ‘tremendous breakthrough’

Hastings Green Party has announced that it will contest all 16 seats on Hastings Borough Council that are due to come up for election this year.

In 2018 the Greens thought they had a real chance of snatching at least one of the Old Hastings wards from Labour, so much so that then co-leader – and the party’s sole MP – Caroline Lucas, made a special trip to Hastings to help with campaigning.

We met her then and here’s what she had to say about what a ‘tremendous breakthrough’ it would be for the Greens to have their fist councillor in Hastings.
