You CAN make it happen – with a little help from HVA

Have you heard about Making It Happen? A project that supports people to develop their community ideas into action.

Believing that individuals have much to offer their neighbourhoods the Hastings Voluntary Action project will chat with people and guide them, helping make their ideas a reality.

Su Barnicoat the Hastings Making It Happen worker says: “Individuals often have undervalued skills, and it’s sometimes about building confidence in people so that they can share their passion and ideas.”

Currently focused on the Castle and Hollington areas of the town, Making it Happen wants people to ‘have a go’ and come forward with ideas that will ultimately connect neighbours together, building stronger communities.
