Did you see man brandishing a knife in Blackman Avenue?

Police investigating reports of a man brandishing a knife in St Leonards are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called to Blackman Avenue at the junction with Hollington Old Lane about 11.30am on Friday, July 17th after a man allegedly waved the weapon at a blue Ford Fiesta which was passing at the time. No injuries were reported.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and has been bailed while enquiries are ongoing.

Police are keen to hear from anyone that witnessed the incident and particularly the occupant of the blue Ford Fiesta car.
