Free haircuts, tattoos, Jiu Jitsu lessons and even a Mercedes for the weekend – just some of the prizes on offer in the great NHS Heroes raffle – get your ticket by Monday!

As if there weren’t already enough reasons to make sure you’ve got your tickets for the NHS Heroes raffle a couple of other great prizes have just been added with only two days to go until the closing date.

The raffle was the brainchild of local Barbers Connor McLeod and Ben Goodman. The boys set a goal of raising £1,000 for the Friends of Conquest Hospital, as things stand they are just a whisker away from doubling that and hope by Monday they will have hit £2,000.

“We’re super-happy with the commitment from everyone so far,” Connor said today.

Adding to an already impressive list of prizes Paul Bridges of the Gracie Barra Hastings, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy has offered two prizes, each allowing the winner a month’s free training: “We would love to support the NHS Charity Raffle,” Paul said.

Connor and Ben teamed up to organise the special raffle to include some unique prizes that include use of a Mercedes Benz for a weekend as well as more unusual raffle prizes like tattoo vouchers. It’s all to raise money for the Wellbeing fund set up by the Friends of Conquest Hospital to help local NHS staff through the COVID 19 crisis.

“We wanted to do something to help the NHS workers that are doing so much for all of us,” said Connor, who has had to delay the opening of his own barbers’ shop due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Conor and Ben’s fundraising effort will help the Friends of Conquest Hospital

Local businesses have been asked to donate prizes and have responded generously with raffle winners in line for prizes that include a Mercedes Benz for the weekend courtesy of Lookers Mercedes of Eastbourne, a year’s membership of Stackz Gym, a bottle of Prosecco and two pizzas courtesy of the St Leonards Pub and many more.

Bit the full list of prizes, detailed below, is amazing and shows just how much support there is for the cause that Ben and Connor have set out to support.

The Raffle will run until the May 10th when the prizes will be drawn.

Tickets, which cost £10 each or 5 for £40, can be bought by visiting their just giving page:
