Museum launches travel bursary for schools

Hastings Museum and Art Gallery is offering travel bursaries to local schools who may find it difficult to fund transport for their students to visit the museum.

Funding for the scheme is coming through the Museums and Schools Programme,

Kim Forward, Hastings Borough Council’s lead councillor for culture said: “The museum is offering up to £200 towards travel costs for five schools to visit before February 28th next year.

The Museums and Schools Programme, funded by Arts Council England, has allowed the museum to develop fun, interactive workshops where young people get hands-on with history.
