Living in ‘bizarre times’ the four step approach to saving lives
Local police WILL NOT be going through people’s bags checking they’ve only gone shopping for essential items.
Talking to Hastings In Focus this afternoon Chief Inspector Sarah Godley, District Commander for Hastings and Rother, dismissed the notion stressing that the police are not out to make a difficult time any worse. She says the majority of the local community is pulling together in what she described as ‘bizarre times’.
People, she says, understand how difficult things are and the police are following a four step approach:
- Engage
- Explain
- Encourage
- Enforce
The police she says are talking to people, helping them understand the situation and then getting them to stay at home and save lives.
