Words, pictures, sound and vision we’ve got Hastings covered

It might have been a quiet day on the website for our stories in words and pictures but it has been a big day on our YouTube and Soundcloud channels.

Released today on YouTube is an interview with Hastings’ new MP Sally-Ann Hart. It’s her first interview since being elected MP and we chat about the peculiar traditions of Westminster, her political heroes and what she hopes to achieve as Hastings and Rye’s Member of Parliament.

Over on Soundcloud we’ve launched the latest edition of The Hastings Podcast and first of the new year. Guests include chairman of Stables Theatre and Art Gallery Neil Sellman chatting about the theatre’s first 60 years and about ideas to see it successfully through its next 60.

There’s Juliet Harris on what’s happening at Ore’s soon to be reopened library and we hear from Daniel Robinson who, at 25, is one of Hastings’ budding entrepreneurs.

You can hear all the chat by following this link

And we’ve also published an extended version of our interview with Daniel. He spent four months travelling in Latin America last year and we get a chance to hear the detail.
