Keeping his dream alive – after a meltdown and some tears Carl came out fighting
When, overnight, the government tells you your business is going to have to close and they don’t know when you’ll be able to open up again it’s not just an uncertain time it’s a frightening time.
Like many other small business people Carl Denne of Hastings Kickboxing Academy was left reeling back in March when he had to close his business which meant turning off his income.
“I went home and had a bit of a melt down and a bit of a cry,” admits Carl in this interview with Hastings In Focus but showing his true fighter’s instinct he has found ways to keep his business alive and ways to keep his club’s members engaged culminating last weekend in a carefully managed and socially distanced outdoor group training session.
