Wielding a knife at kebab shop staff in St Leonards lands man in court

Thirty-two-year-old Aaron Nicolaou has been charged with knife possession following an incident in St Leonards last month. 

On April 9th, police received report of a man wearing a ghost mask and brandishing a knife at the staff of a kebab shop as he had walked past with two dogs the previous evening. 

A suspect was identified through CCTV from the kebab shop and police arrested and charged a man. 

Now Nicolaou, of Battle Road, has been charged with possession of a knife/bladed/pointed article in a public place.

He was also charged with assault and criminal damage in connection with a separate domestic incident in St Leonards on May 4th. 

He was been remanded in custody and was due in court yesterday.
