My Hastings is proving a hit

Moving services online is bringing big benefits to Hastings Borough Council members were told on Wednesday.

Councillor Judy Rogers who is responsible for the council’s corporate services told members that up until the end of October more than 136,000 reports had been made using the website – previously, she pointed out, all those reports would have had to go through the council’s call centre.

Also to the end of October 31,000 accounts had been registered which Ms Rogers said was ‘very good’.

People are using the system to report issues with street cleaning (3,042) and bin collection (3,965). One of the surprise successes is an app on the My Hastings site that gives people advice and a checklist to help them when they are moving house, Ms Rogers said that had been accesses 2,668 times.
