Life is better when we laugh together… Mayoral team plan costume for a smile day…

Always looking for any excuse to get in to fancy dress Mayor Nigel Sinden and his deputy James Bacon have come up with a cunning plan to put a smile on people’s faces this weekend.

Deputy Mayor Councillor James Bacon – any excuse to dress up!
Hes a glam-rocker at heart! Hastings Mayor Nigel Sinden.

James says: “The Mayoral Team is encouraging all residents to dress up in any form of fancy dress next Saturday April 11th.

“During this time when so many of us are having to stay at home, Nigel and I are keen to bring the community together and to put a smile to each other’s faces, via online means.

“The idea is for us to all dress up in some way, at anytime during Saturday April 11th, in any form of fancy dress costume and to be as creative, humorous and quirky as you like. People can then post their photos to their social media accounts, encouraging others to do the same and then share these on the official Facebook Event Page, called, ‘Costume For A Smile’.”

James told Hastings In Focus: “When we act as a community, we are stronger, when we laugh together, life is better.”
