Join in Hastings’ greens great plastic purge
A family-friendly ‘tea ‘n’ tips’ event being run by Hastings Green Party will offer advice on reducing the use of plastic.
The event is designed to be fun, interactive and it’s intended to be a fundraiser too. It’s being held later this month to raise awareness of the problem of plastics in the world’s oceans and ecosystems.
The Great Plastic Purge will be hosted by Timberlina, the world’s premier ecologically-minded drag queen and there will be demonstrations of how to make your own household cleaning products to avoid buying plastic bottles and sprays. Thre will also be tea and cake, songs and a quiz.
The event is free, but space is limited so please book via Eventbrite: at https://tinyurl.com/greatplasticpurge.
The Great Plastic Purge will be held on Saturday September 29th, from 2pm – 4pm, at the Beacon on St Mary’s Terrace in Hastings.
The Great Plastic Purge is part of the ‘Sustainability on Sea’ week organised by Transition Town Hastings and Energise East Sussex.
